The process begins with meeting a local memorial mason to discuss your options. They will explain the different regulations between churchyards and cemeteries - for example, polished surfaces are permitted in cemeteries but not in churchyards. Your mason will verify all requirements including permissible shapes, sizes, and designs. Please note that following a burial, there is a mandatory 11-month waiting period to allow for ground settlement.

Step 2: Choosing Your Memorial

Select a stone that meaningfully represents your loved one. Weather-resistant options are popular as they require minimal maintenance while preserving their appearance. Our pricing includes:

• Traditional headstones: £1,100 - £1,600
• Cremation plaques: £450 - £1,100
• Kerb surrounding memorials: £2,750 - £4,000+

Step 3: Inscription Selection

Choosing the right words for your inscription is often the most challenging part. We encourage you to take your time and discuss ideas with your family members to find the most meaningful tribute.

Step 4: Design and Payment

Once you've chosen your stone and inscription, our masons will create a design layout for your approval. Upon approval, we request an initial deposit to secure your order, with final payment due after installation is completed to your satisfaction.

Step 5: Installation Timeline

After your order is confirmed, the completion time typically ranges from 12 to 18 weeks, depending on the memorial's size and style.
